My new thing for the last couple of years has been #bikepacking or cycle touring with a tent by #ebike. So far all around the Irish coast and to the Scottish Islands & Highlands. My video channel induces day by day diary's and introductory guides, see youtube.com/@Ebiketouringl… /1

When looking at the violence on the streets in Chile keep in mind this footage of riot cops snorting cocaine before heading off to batter protesters x.com/weeeh/status/1…

I used to do caving when I was a mere slip of a lad and I remember one entry pretty much like this except the entrance was also covered in brambles when we arrived. ‘We are going where now?’

Truly shocking revelations from Germany this morning of a far-right cell mostly composed of cops connected to the recent murder of a politician which had used their access to police computers to draw up a death list with 25,000 targets on it & stole 10,000 bullets + machine gun

Just in case there is any doubt this is what the Irish think of McGregor

Finbar Cafferkey who died resisting the Russian invasion of Ukraine Apr19 was a friend & comrade who for the two decades I knew him consistently put himself in harms way to oppose injustice. Whether that was fighting Shell or ISIS or going to Kos to help refugees come ashore/1

What the Irish actually think of Conor McGregor, the very mention of his name got a huge boo from this 15,000 strong crowd in Dublin last night at the Gig for Gaza.
Bonus clip - Joe Brolly on McGregor at the Gig for Gaza

Christy Moore sings his anti-fascist anthem ‘Vive La Quinte Brigada’ to the 25,000 or more people who marched through Dublin to protest government policy & the racist far right today. #DiversityNotDivision #RefugeesWelcome #IrelandForAll @christymoore45

Only once saw a proper claustrophobic freak out in a group where we were in a very narrow but fortunately high vertical fault & the person who freaked levered themselves up & scuttled rapidly over everyone’s heads like something from Aliens

For the 5th Saturday running Dublin saw a large #Palestine Solidarity march calling for an end to the assault on #Gaza - march was organised by @ipsc48 this video is the entire march speeded up by a factor of 8 so it fits in the video time limit

#SaveTheCobblestone now at the council buildings after marching via Merchants Arch - quite a crowd - it appears the pandemic exit may well see a significant return to street protest as we contest what that world will look like. Wall to wall hotels not being a popular option

The two Irish experiences of the pandemic. It’s a shame which one gets all the likes & retweets thanks to being boosted by those with a platform
