.@JoeBiden We pay every cent owed. You spent 3 decades in the Senate & know that Congress wrote these tax laws to encourage companies to invest in the US economy. We have. 500k jobs w/ a min wage of $15/hr across 40 states. Assume your complaint is w/ the tax code, not Amazon.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers. It's time for Amazon to pay its fair share. cnbc.com/2020/05/22/i-t…

We are proud to support the EAGLE Act and are continuing advocate for common sense immigration reform on behalf of our employees and their families. We urge Congress to pass the #EAGLEAct, lifting unfair per-country visa caps for employment-based green cards.

Amazon applauds @SenMikeLee @SenKamalaHarris @RepKenBuck @RepZoeLofgren for intro'ing the Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act, which includes reforms to the per-country cap and is vital to Amazon & our employees. We stand with them & will work to see this bill become law.

We’re pleased to endorse @RepNancyMace's States Reform Act. Like so many in this country, we believe it’s time to reform the nation’s cannabis policy and Amazon is committed to helping lead the effort. forbes.com/sites/willyako…

.@repkenbuck Actually, we didn’t wait. We offered the Trump administration assistance on vaccines, built new tools for researchers & public health authorities, engaged Operation Warp Speed on logistics & advised on testing, & flew in PPE from China when America needed it most.

Amazon applauds @kevinyoder on the passage of his amendment to the @DHSgov appropriations bill, H.R. 392, that would remove the per-country limit on green cards. This is an important step towards green card reform, and Amazonians thank you for your leadership on this issue.

We're proud to hire people from around the world & support U.S. immigrants seeking permanent residency. That’s why we are advocating on behalf of our employees & their families, and offering @USCIS assistance to support full green card allocation by 9/30.

.@SenSanders Not true. Last year we paid $5B in taxes, while providing paid sick-leave & comprehensive benefits for all full-time workers starting on their 1st day. All Amazon employees make at least $15/hr – 2x the fed min wage, & we created 175k+ new jobs since pandemic began.
Corporate greed is out of control. While Jeff Bezos became $78 billion richer during the pandemic, Amazon has paid ZERO in federal income taxes over the last 3 years and continues to deny hazard pay and paid sick leave to its workers. This must change.

Amazon thanks @RepZoeLofgren for her work in overhauling the immigration system, eliminating the per-country cap on green cards and continuing the H4 spousal authorization. Lofgren: “We need an immigration system that serves our interests.” @CompeteAmerica

@RepZoeLofgren @RepJohnCurtis Thank you for your leadership in addressing the visa backlog for thousands of workers who contribute to our economy. The Equal Access to Green cards for Legal Employment Act will enable US employers like Amazon to focus on building dynamic teams.
Per-country visa caps hurt the American economy—preventing U.S. employers from staying competitive—& hurt families. I've introduced the bipartisan EAGLE Act w/@RepJohnCurtis to move toward a better system. bit.ly/2S7kOut

Reducing the green card backlog is at the core of our immigration reform advocacy. @BPC_Bipartisan’s latest report finds American voters value highly skilled legal immigration, yet many don't understand the challenges faced by immigrants in getting a green card. Read more here:
Our new poll found that American voters recognize increased access to highly skilled legal #immigration as a key element to growing the economy and bolstering U.S. competitiveness. Dive into the expert analysis from @BPC_TBrown and @BenGitis. bipartisanpolicy.org/blog/high-skil…

Thank you @SenKevinCramer & @SenatorHick for introducing the #EAGLEAct. Doing away with arbitrary caps on immigration by birthplace & empowering employers to hire talented workers regardless of their country of origin is essential to remaining competitive.

We're thrilled to announce our commitment to adding 25K new jobs for vets & military spouses as part of our partnership w/ #JoiningForces!
