Covid is a lesson in confirmation bias because every time someone engages in risky/unmasked activities and they *don’t* get infected, it increases the likelihood that they will continue to engage in unmitigated exposure to the virus.

Do you have friends who NEVER stop traveling and consuming? Like their entire existence revolves around the next trip or event? I think about these folks a lot as we experience endless COVID infections. Air travel spreads COVID. I haven’t gotten on a plane in almost five years.

The CDC didn’t relax mitigation guidelines because of science or evidence. It’s because the ruling capitalist class, including politicians, pressured them. It’s because they want us to keep working and consuming, not because COVID is any less dangerous or transmissible.
