- Each year, ALCDSB schools choose a Beacon of Hope recipient who is selected based on their involvement with their peers, their school and their community. This year’s @alcdsb_trsa Beacon of Hope is Xóchitl Azul Rivera.

- Happy Retirement to Erin Walker! Erin has been an educator with @alcdsb for many years & most recently has been the Assistant to the Director. Her warm smile, contagious laugh and passion for education has impacted the lives of students, staff and families. Congratulations Erin!
- In honour of the 215 children whose lives were so tragically taken at the Kamloops residential school, and all survivors, families, and communities being impacted by this heartbreaking news, flags at all #ALCDSB sites will be lowered to half mast this week.

- CUPE UPATE: On Sunday, October 6 the Minister of Education announced that a tentative agreement has been made with CUPE. ALL ALCDSB schools will be open on Monday, October 7. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
