- This whole “our internal matter” business is the cultural nonsense that we are brought up on. It is used to protect every wrong doing in our society. Domestic abuse, caste prejudice, marital rape, honour killing.. any injustice you can think of. always somebody’s internal matter!
- Before the night crawler takes over, let me congratulate Uddhav Thackeray on a very fine stint as the CM of Maharashtra. A lot of his decisions were brave and broke new ground for his party. Even the harshest Sena critics will agree… that he tried.
- Replying to @cricketaakashCinema is never the most reliable medium to learn history, Aakash! It exaggerates. History assesses the overall impact and then chooses which stories to tell in what proportion. Maurya/Gupta empires, Akbar, Aurangzeb, Shivaji naturally got prominence over Sambhaji or Dara Shikoh!
- Ten years back if someone said Naseeruddin Shah will play Emperor Akbar and I’d get a chance to direct him, I wouldn’t have believed him. But destiny is a great conspirator. Taj ended up giving me so many memorable memories. None bigger than working with the GOAT of acting.
