The nail-studded rods — captured by Indian soldiers from the Galwan Valley encounter site — with which Chinese soldiers attacked an Indian Army patrol and killed 20 Indian soldiers. Such barbarism must be condemned. This is thuggery, not soldiering

Did I see prime minister @narendramodi redrawing the Sino-Indian border on TV today? Modi said nobody entered Indian territory. Has he conceded to China the Galwan River valley and Fingers 4-8 in Pangong Tso -- both on our side of the LAC -- and where Chinese troops now sit. 1/4.

BREAKING: Army to hold press conf at 2 pm. Reports of 3 soldiers killed in Galwan clash with Chinese. First LAC combat casualties since 1975. Time for the govt to come clean and stop lying about "disengagement" and "mutual withdrawal". A national crisis is no time for deception

It seems @narendramodi has no idea of the difference between an election speech and the speech that a prime minister shud deliver while commissioning an aircraft carrier. Its embarrassing to watch this military audience having to listen to, and clap at, politically loaded cracks

The most shocking aspect of the Chinese intrusions is this: Many Indians clearly love @narendramodi more than they love their country. They would close their eyes and allow China to capture chunks of Indian territory, rather than admit such a thing had happened on Modi’s watch.

Large Chinese camp in Galwan Valley, 1.5 km into Indian side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), shown as the red line. There is no Indian camp in the Galwan Valley, after India agreed on June 6 to de-militarise the valley to where the Galwan joins the Shyok #CryBelovedCountry

China has changed the frontlines in Ladakh, and occupied Indian territory... and New Delhi is talking about “a long haul” and “military and diplomatic engagement!” If so abject was to be the surrender, disband the “mountain strike corps” & remove armoured brigade from Ladakh 1/2

Ladakh border update. As of this morning, there has been ABSOLUTELY NO Chinese troop withdrawal from the areas the PLA has illegally occupied in the Galwan Valley and Pangong Tso sectors. Corroborated by army sitreps, int agency reports and US sources who are watching carefully.

Read the difference between 1962 and today! Then Nehru ordered army to hold Galwan at all costs. The soldiers there fought to the end. Today, Modi’s 56-inch govt has agreed with the Chinese to pull out of the Galwan valley entirely. The only post there is a Chinese one at PP-14

It’s all settled! The prime minister of India signalled today that the Galwan valley — to defend which 20 Indian soldiers died this week — is not unambiguously Indian territory. And, on cue, the Chinese Govt has officially repeated its claim to the entire valley. #Sedition

Incredible India! With Chinese troops occupying our soil:- 1. Govt doesn’t feel obliged to explain what is happening. 2. The people don’t demand to know and instead delude themselves that Chinese will walk away on their own. 3. Media happy to publish scraps the govt throws it.

Air Chief Marshal Modi claims his IAF planners were putting off the Balakot air strikes becoz of bad weather, but his @narendramodi’s operational genius perceived that cloud cover would help the aircraft exfiltrate. India should hang its head in shame for electing this charlatan.
