    Never had a chance to talk to Speaker #Oulanyah. Even when he hugely helped financially towards my studies at Columbia, he chose not to showcase it, left it to his handlers, didn’t want a thank you. Brilliant lawyer, jolly leader & like us, flawed. Rest in power, son of the soil

    Five months ago, l got offers from three schools for a fully-funded PhD program in Creative Writing. Eventually, l said YES to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. UNL demonstrated that they really want me, that they’re interested in my work and in getting it out to the world.
