We need to disrupt this liberal narrative that Universities are generally benevolent instituions that simply aren’t living up to their values in this current moment. The University is the academic arm of the colonial state, and it is doing exactly what it was designed to do.
We also found out that the @UCLAchancellor watched the entire thing unfold from the second floor balcony of Royce Hall. They left us out there to die and watched it from above. They watched it happen. Sick to my stomach.
The entire political establishment is collaborating to wipe a people off the face of the earth. And people are thanking them for their “leadership” and making memes about them and and giving them rounds of applauses and standing ovations. I dont even know what to say anymore.

I can’t stop thinking about this. As far as I know the state’s primary presence in Pasadena/Altadena seems to be police and military presence; most of the mutual aid efforts you see online are organized autonomously.
So the National Guard is deployed in LA. Instead of assisting firefighters, clearing debris or actually bringing food & water for thousands of displaced people, they are sitting around supposedly protecting property while targeting & harassing minorities as “potential looters”🤬
