1/2 Following Rishi Sunak’s interview with Laura Kuenssberg, a Welsh Government spokesperson has said “It is profoundly disappointing the prime minister is inadvertently or intentionally, choosing to mislead people about the introduction of 20mph.

- 1/12 I really don’t go in for media moaning: I’m of the view that we have to agree to follow most rules for security and timetable reasons - but I should make the following clear about the Boris Johnson visit to a farm here in Wales:
- “The U.K. Government plans to sacrifice the future of the union by stealing powers from the devolved administrations.’ - Wales’ Counsel General Jeremy Miles angrily attacks the Internal Market Bill
- The Labour First Minister of Wales has invited the leaders of Plaid Cymru and the Conservatives to join his cabinet covid group. They've both accepted.
- Ynys Mon MP Virginia Crosbie has resigned as PPS to the Wales Office.
- No change in Wales' lockdown slogan which remains 'Stay Home, Save Lives.' Welsh Government emphasises that 'Stay Alert, Control the Virus, Save Lives' is and England slogan NOT a UK-wide.
- Replying to @adrianmasters8412/12 We’ll get over it. We’ll find other ways of reporting such visits. I don’t want special pleading. But change is change and I thought it ought to be made public.
- Replying to @adrianmasters842/2 “It is not a blanket restriction. Speed limits on a great number of roads in Wales are unchanged and journey times take around a minute longer. This will save lives and make our communities safer.”
- 1/3 In other news the Welsh Government is threatening to take the UK Government to court over the UK Internal Market Bill despite concessions made last night. Counsel General Jeremy Miles says
- The Plaid Cymru motion has been passed 24 votes to 19 against and 13 abstentions. Applause in the public gallery. It means the Senedd has voted to call for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East.
- Paul Davies has resigned as welsh conservative leader in the senedd.
- Replying to @adrianmasters847/12 For the record then: on the Prime Minister’s first visit to Wales the national news outlets of Wales @ITVWales @BBCWalesNews and @WalesOnline weren’t allowed interviews. We were offered chance to ask questions but not to film them.
- Replying to @adrianmasters8411/12 I do think it’s a strange way to begin for a new Prime Minister who says he wants to strengthen the union to treat the main national news outlets this way.
- The Prime Minister has announced an extra £1bn of military aid for Ukraine. £95m of it comes from Welsh and Scottish Government budgets. Welsh finance minister says it backs helping Ukraine but it's "not right" to use devolved money to fund non-devolved spending.
