I’m 23 and, I’d try to answer the first question.
Why are we under so much pressure?
Poverty.
If I don’t work hard now, make sacrifices now and put pressure on myself, when am I gonna do it?
Who’s gonna come save me? Nobody.
I have seen what it’s like to 1/x
Based on this tweet, why is everyone under pressure to make it ? Like young people who don’t even know who they are ! Which begs the question
- what skills have you gotten, that makes you stand out?
- wishing without enterprise is a fools paradise, hope you know?
- what are you
Nigeria is designed to be dysfunctional and keep their young people dreamless.
I need to strive to make sure I overcome all of that.
And that is why I feel pressure.

I can’t see that, live that and not be pressurized.
If I don’t work hard and find my own path to success, Nigeria won’t help me.
Nigeria cannot save me.
Nigeria does not provide the fertile ground for me to flourish as a young person. 3/x
barely eat well or afford the basic necessities of life.
My family wasn’t poor by any metric but the more the country went to shit, the less comfortable my life became.
Imagine a scenario where we could afford tin milk and milo and then all of a sudden, 3kids have to 2/x
