why do e-bikes have such strict regulations in both speed (15.5mph) and power... (250w or about 0.3bhp) when cars are effectively unlimited in both. Most cars are capable of doing 3x time residential speed limit.
Hey @sainsburys what kind of hell is this?
Difficult to move the bike into, impossible to secure the bike to it safely. The only good thing is the shelter.
Please replace with Sheffield stands as soon as possible.
Really interesting data coming out of Wales.
The number of RTC is down
Severity of RTC is down
Total insurance payout is down
Average insurance payout is up because the smaller low speed RTC have disappeared.
Car insurance in Wales has reduced by £50 relative to England.
The next time you are walking down the pavement wondering why the surface is knackered.
It's probably cars parking on it. Pavements aren't made to be parked on their subsurface is not built for it and this is what happens.
Blame drivers not the council.
I'm really getting sick of electric motor bikes (either modified bicycles or off road electric motorbikes) being called "e-bikes"
E-bikes are 250 watt (0.3bhp!) bicycles with a bit of extra power. no throttles, assist cuts out at 15.5mph.
VERY different to the illegal stuff.
Went for a little ride this evening. found myself on East cliff overcliff drive.
50 cars parked blocking the pavement, all of those on double yellows with "no loading" ticks. Many many many more parked on double yellows or on the grass at meyrick road,
you think this is 4-5ft?
considering you are supposed to leave 1.5m (5ft) from elbow to wing mirror and aprox head height is 1.5m from the ground, this is less than half is what is required.
hat not legal req, they pay as much "road tax" as you do, overtaking vehicle gives way
We don't have a road safety problem.
We have a driver safety problem
In no industry operating heavy machinery do you do one test and that licence lasts the whole of your life.
Should we introduce a theory test for every driver every 10 years?
