A sign outside a restaurant in Kyoto.
The English and Chinese text says the restaurant is full
The small red text on Japanese at the bottom says "If you can read this, you may come in"
girl this is blatantly racist towards outsiders, imagine if french bakeries said “no open seats” in all languages except for french, just because they’re nonwhite doesn’t make it okay
to everyone saying xenophobia and not racism: first of all these almost always come hand in hand. second of all, even if it wasn't based in racism (it is), xenophobia is still bad????
