    1st AFL game for young Archie. Had to choose which team to go for pregame...went the Eagles because an actual Magpie chased him in the park not long back so doesn’t like them much. $10 beanie & insane amount of treats later, we made it through 4qtrs. Pretty special day for dad.

    And so ends an awesome few weeks of footy in the west. We have been really lucky to be able to go to a stack of games with passionate crowds attending. On a personal note, wasn’t sure if I would call any footy this year but stoked to get a couple on the way through.

    It’s time for @freodockers to be locked in for an ANZAC day clash every year. Have done a sensational job with the Len Hall tribute for many years. MCG game finishes at 4pm/6pm so a 4:40 start in WA is prime time. Double header would be great….just need to find best opponent?

    I have loved the Olympics since I was a kid and was a big part of me getting into broadcasting. Tonight I got to live out a dream of working on one. Not the result we were hoping for but loved every second. Very thankful for the opportunity. Onto the Judo and 3x3 as well!

    Don’t normally post things like this (as thankfully don’t get much of it) but I am genuinely thrilled as a caller to get this sort of feedback after a game as means we must have called it down the line. Copped a clip both ways 😂

    The WA clubs need to get their act together. The biggest derby in history and they allow an issue like this to dominate the buildup. Just work together and fix it. Not that hard. The medal doesn’t need to be sponsored, whoever’s home game it is pays for it to be made. Simple

    The rule which bugs me is how advantage is paid. I get it's supposed to favour the team with the free kick but it needs to be fair. Why can't the umpire give advantage without blowing the whistle so the play is continuous? Here's some examples from 2022.

    Happen to be on the same flight as West Coast. Plenty of celebrating still going on. Most players up the front but the coach sitting further back. Adam Simpson got a huge round of applause from everyone on the plane as he walked down to his seat.

    For a game between 15th and 17th that was an enjoyable afternoon at the footy. 8 goals for JK is quite unbelievable and Laird had a blinder in game 200. 50k in the building on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Close finish. Doesn’t get much better

    A night off work so it was take 2 of dad and son at the footy trying to find Archie a team to support. He started with the Dockers….but plays Auskick for the Cats….Then went for whoever kicked a goal. The iPad was the eventual winner in the second half.
