- Honored to learn that I am the 2020 recipient of the ASBMB Mid-career Leadership Award recognizing a “strong commitment to advancing the careers of women” in this field. Thanks to strong woman leader @SusanBaserga for her efforts! @ASBMB

- Happy to report that I was able to celebrate International Women’s Day with a hopeful win (6%ile score) on an MPI NIH grant with an amazing junior female colleague who is the contact MPI 🎉🎉
- Struggling with challenges a post-doc faces when they obtain a prestigious NIH F32, making them an independent contractor, thus removing health care and retirement benefits. We need work arounds and discretionary accounts to keep the post-doc from losing $ due to their success 😖
- Replying to @TheYootopian and @ChrisDJacksonMy family member who is a staunch Trump supporter was just telling me how amazing it was that he now has new wifi installed that serves his large rural home- I asked if he knew why? He was shocked to learn that this is part of Bidenomics infrastructure initiatives.
- We are so excited to hear from @NIGMS that the K12 grant to support the Emory @FIRST_IRACDA has been selected for years 21-25 of funding🎉🎉. The FIRST leadership is thrilled to continue the amazing FIRST legacy and support all the fabulous fellows! @EmoryUniversity @emorycollege
- Today marks 26 year since the Corbett lab opened @EmoryUniversity I have been privileged to work with many amazing scientists over the years. Many now have illustrious careers of their own in science/medicine. Collaborations and colleagues at Emory and beyond have made it a joy!
