I’m humbled by the support I’ve had in Erith and Thamesmead.
I’m so grateful to the @E_TLabour volunteers who built a brilliant community-led campaign. No matter how you voted, I will work hard for you every day.
I’m standing for re-election to Labour's NEC.
My family was lifted out of poverty by a Labour Government, and I've dedicated my life to our movement ever since.
Over the last four years, I've championed members, campaigned for our candidates and worked to strengthen our party
The scenes in Belfast last night were shocking and completely unacceptable.
There is no justification for the violence and disorder that we saw threatening our communities, nor for those who encouraged it, online or elsewhere.
It is clear that people were targeted last night
Delighted to speak at the Ghana-UK Investment Summit last week.
I welcomed a renewed commitment to the Ghana-UK partnership & the practical opportunities it can create for people & businesses in both countries.
Together we can support growth, opportunity & improve lives.

It was a pleasure to meet the amazing staff and pupils at Abbey Wood Nursery and to discuss the importance of SEND support for children in early education.
Thank you to headteacher Ms Crowley and staff for the informative tour and the children for such a warm welcome!
My May newsletter is now live, with updates on my work for Erith and Thamesmead.
From the King’s Speech and SEND reform, to my local coffee morning, VE Day commemorations and school visits, I’m pleased to share what I’ve been doing.

Great to visit @PlumMakeMerry
As ever, it was a brilliant celebration of local music, arts, food and community spirit.
Huge thanks to the volunteers who make this much-loved festival possible, and to everyone who came together to celebrate Plumstead despite the weather.
Great to hear directly from those supporting Black men to take part in prostate cancer research, alongside @DavidLammy, earlier this week.
Conversations like this are vital to closing the evidence gap and building a fairer system.
Health and Social Care Secretary @jamesmurray_ldn and Deputy Prime Minister @DavidLammy met with representatives of community organisations and @ProstateUK to hear about their work supporting Black men to be part of prostate cancer research.
Today marks 82 years since D-Day.
We honour the extraordinary courage of the British and Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy.
Their service, sacrifice and bravery secured the freedoms we cherish today.
We will never forget them.
82 years ago, on the beaches of Normandy, brave British and Allied forces changed the course of history forever.
We must never forget the service and sacrifice of those courageous men and women.
Our debt to them can never be repaid.
Great to see @TfL consulting on proposals to extend the DLR to Thamesmead.🚉
The Government’s backing is hugely welcome - now residents have the chance to help shape the project.
Please take part, join a drop-in session & have your say before 16 July! 👇🏾

Important to join President of Ghana @JDMahama and the Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer at @10DowningStreet this week.
I welcome the signing of the UK-Ghana Growth Partnership and continued dialogue on important issues, including global security, economic stability and human rights.
I know that Jewish people, and everyone experiencing discrimination, need action not words.
Together with NHS England, we'll waste no time in setting Lord Mann’s recommendations in motion to build a health service that lives up to its founding values.
We are supporting all of the recommendations from Lord Mann's review to tackle antisemitism and other forms of racism across the NHS.
This will mean that both NHS patients and staff will be better protected against hate.
