So... on my second assignment for @NatGeo I crashed and burned a rental car in the middle of the night on the Yucatán Peninsula (with my passport left inside). I didn't tell them until I wrapped the shoot and had the photos in the bag. I sat on the side of the road for 3 hours

- Wow! Thank you to all who bid!!! @co1born joins @GuyNorcal, @lifeofc, @AlphaTrilogy, and @14thCenturyFund (@Reuben_Wu + @chevy_pop) in owning the entire "First Film" collection!
- Hi Friends! I've been AWOL these past weeks but for good reason! I've finalized the purchase of 400 acres and some old ranch buildings (with one partner) for a future artist residency and conservation project! It's only an hour outside of LA, and basically inside a condor
- Huge gratitude to @GuyNorcal for adding this piece to his collection. My 1st published image in the main National Geographic magazine and my favorite from years covering the Sufis of Pakistan. Thank you also to @lifeofc and @MONOLITHGallery for all your hard work and support!
- Ushguli, Svaneti, Georgia. This is where I first fell in love with photography because it’s where I first went deep enough to fall in love with a community. (First journey 1998, this image 2013)
- My brother @NahkoBear, warrior/healer/songsmith, recording in LA this week. Your prayer is strong young Jedi!
- Moonlight stroll in @MuseumofCrypto in VR with @co1born last night blew my mind! You can also access via web browser at somniumspace.com/parcel/3402. Take a deep dive into MoCA to learn more about Crypto art past + future, then stay for the community being built there! $MOCA
- I’ve just minted a project that has been in the works since last December, called First Film. It is the entirety of my first body of work: every frame from start to finish, of my journey into Svaneti, a secluded mountain region in the Caucasus mountains of Georgia (1998-2000).
- 1/6 Some photos are harder to get to than others. Documenting Sherpa climbers + culture on assignment for @NatGeo, brought me on a climb up Ama Dablam in Nepal, + required my first trip above 20,000ft and crossing, this 2ft wide snow bridge with 2,000 ft drops on either side...
- 1/8 I just released my first edition: The Mantra (Taboche peak with stop and prayer flags), Dingboche, Nepal, from my @NatGeo magazine assignment documenting Sherpa climbers and culture in the Khumbu, (Everest region). I'd love to tell you more about the image and my journey...
- This is a story about finding one of my favorite photo subjects again after 15 years. #FirstFilmProject
