- Schnall says the umpire who came running in and tripped over Angel Campos' foot "was embarrassed" & immediately stood up and held up two fingers to suspend him for "bumping an umpire, because he was embarrassed. I shouldn't be responsible for a grown man's lack of athleticism."
- You've got to be kidding me, Angel Campos. You're going to toss a coach in the first inning of a CWS Finals game? Grow up.
- Man, I love West Coast baseball, truly I do. But turning on the sound of the Mississippi State game after watching the UCLA game is like flipping from a James Taylor concert to an AC/DC show.
- Jake Mangum. This guy is the greatest. Players about to be dismissed, and Jake says, “I’d like to say one more thing.” And now an impassioned speech in favor of the third paid assistant. Incredible. Never seen anything like this from a college baseball player.

Reportedly Florida HC Kevin O'Sullivan was upset that the game was moved. He was seen ripping into CCU officials & NCAA Officials CCU Kevin Schnall made sure to address the matter
