    A really powerful story @UHMBT board yesterday - we let one of our patients down recently - and, although a difficult listen, we’ve worked with Albert & his family to launch Alberts Campaign to help prevent kidney injury through good hydration. Simple stuff.

    Could not be more chuffed if I tried..... awesome news today that @UHMBT @BCTMorecambeBay has been announced as one of 21 Trusts to receive a share of £100m project funding to plan for new facilities in wave 2 of the Health Infrastructure Plan! More to follow!! ☺️☺️

    We're very excited to be one of the first trusts to start vaccinating using the Oxford AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine today! It's a historic day for us all and we couldn't be prouder to be playing our part in the biggest vaccination programme in the history of the NHS.

    September 4th 2000 ... the day I joined the @NHSGradScheme @NHSGradAlumNW ... 20 yrs in and feel incredibly privileged to be CEO @UHMBT @MorecambeBHCP . I’ve seen so many examples of fantastic care & also the impact of getting things wrong. Both powerful drivers for the next 20.

    ~ this morning we discharged our longest stay COVID-19 patient directly home from the ICU, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. After 107 days on ICU to be able to laugh and celebrate with this patient and their family was moment in our careers that we will treasure forever
