- katara blocking that water attack straight on like she was earthbending was so insane. no wonder hama was so caught off guard
00:00show me a fight scene that had you like this: - left unsupervised for one episode and these 3 instantly started running scams on random fire nation citizens 😭
00:00define ‘trio’ - “you miscalculated. i love zuko more than i fear you” gag of the century x.com/4vataruniverse…BEST line delivery in history
- toph blind jokes will always be funny bc it’s always sokka at the scene of the crimeName something that’s forever funny no matter how many times it’s repeated.
- i’ve always known atla was great but the moment when aang calls out the fire nation’s propaganda in the headband episode really solidified it for me. it shows how easily history can be rewritten by the victors and how an entire nation can cover up its darkest crimesAt what moment did you realize your favorite series became your favorite?
- i don’t believe that toph would willing choose to be a cop. she spent her whole life rejecting authority, breaking rules & fighting systems that tried to control her. turning her into someone who enforces those same systems feels so wrong and out of character
- i don’t mind toph being more feminine in theory but the point is that she chose not to be. toph’s whole character was built around rejecting traditional gender roles and societal expectations that were forced onto her especially when it came to the idea of femininityEXCLUSIVE: Netflix's live-action AVATAR series will make Toph "slightly more feminine" than her animated counterpart, confirms actress Miya Cech! - not when atla women exist"Female characters have no aura."
- people saying aang but aang’s refusal to kill ozai was never framed as “killing makes you just as bad!” but more like “i’m 12 years old and an air nomad and this goes against everything i believe in”“Don’t kill him! If you do you’d be no better than him!”
- atla really showed how history gets rewritten to serve those in power. the fire nation erased the truth to justify their empire just like how real world colonizers twist history to make themselves the heroes. crazy how a kids show captured that so well
