- Today, I realized my worst nightmare. I went in to awaken my 17yo son to go to the W&M game and found him dead. Unimaginable pain…the worst day I will ever live. My 14yo, Sean, even with all the pain he’s experiencing, just told me W&M dominated. Thank you, Tribe, for that.
- 20 days & we're honoring another great coach. Our QB coach is Coach Matt Johns, out of Chalfont, PA. Coach Johns graduated from UVA as one of the top QBs in program history. He went on to coach at a HS, Grad Assistant at UVA, then to W&M coaching Inside WR & TEs, and now our QBs.
- 42 days. #42 is unassigned, so let's celebrate Coach Keenan Carter, Defensive Line Coach from Woodbridge, VA. Coach Carter is known for creating an unyielding D-Line that takes pride in getting in the backfield & stopping the run. A passionate educator, W&M is lucky to have him.
- 2 days & we're tackling a standout. Our new #2 (was #50) is Trey Watkins, Jr. LB from Fredericksburg, VA. Love this: Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year --> played in 9 games --> started every game, led the team in tackles, and earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
- 50 days 'til @WMTribeFootball. Today, we celebrate our #50, Soph LB Trey Watkins, out of Fredericksburg, VA. Trey was a top shelf RB and Safety at Massaponax HS and carried that momentum to W&M where he earned Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year after his Freshman campaign.
- 12 days. Our #12 is Hollis Mathis, So. QB from Pittsburgh. Hollis owns several single-season records, 2X CAA & National Rookie of the Week HM, team's 2nd leading rusher, and, unbelievably, earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll & W&M's Provost Award. Stud student-athlete.
- Two days. Our #2 is Trey Watkins, Sr LB from Fredericksburg, VA. Trey is truly gifted student-athlete. He stayed focused as he worked from Scout Team Def Player of the Yr as a TFr to leading the team in tackles, established starter & multiple Commissioner’s Academic Honor Rolls.
- 67 days til. No #67 so let’s celebrate Coach Mario Acitelli, Run Game Coord & OL Coach from Charlotte. He was a team capt at App St, built his coaching chops, returned to W&M last yr and led, statistically, his OL to the best season in W&M history. Huge Thank you, Coach Acitelli!
- 64 days. #64 is unassigned so big hugs for Keenan Carter, our DL Coach & Asst Camp Director. Entering his 4th season at W&M, coach Carter developed an all-CAA DL through his model of “Love ‘em hard, coach ‘em hard.” He started at NT at UVA & played in the NFL. Thank you, Coach!
- 1 day. Our new #1 (was #11) is Kane Everson, So. WR from Harrisburg, PA. Kane had an All-American yr, played in every game, led the team in receptions & TD rec., set 2 W&M TFr. records, 6th in W&M history in receptions in a season, & earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
- 69 days til we win in the trenches. #69 is unassigned so let’s lift up Coach Keenan Carter, Recruiting Coord & DL Coach from Dumfries, VA. Starting NG at UVA, made it to the NFL, and is now the best DL coach in college FB. Just ask the NFL-caliber talent who learn(ed) from him.
- 9 days. Our #9 is Carl Fowler, DL & budding lawyer from Durham, NC. Carl is the definition of prodigious student-athlete; he is a gifted & dedicated leader, team captain, earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll every yr on campus, and graduated early to enroll in law school
