The beat for Push 2 Start is a refixed version of Ahomka Womu by VIP, an old Ghanaian hip-life song. The person that produced it is a Ghanaian. It is an African song. Period.
Sorry it’s a lie that Push 2 Start doesn’t sound African. Did you people not listen to the intro instrumental?? Even the whole beat of the song please. How are you not hearing the Amapiano influences in the song ?

Knowing that Africa has all the resources to be self sufficient but bad leadership and neo-colonialism stunted it’s growth.

Her name is Ama Ata Aidoo, famous Ghanaian author.
Burna Boy sampling this speech at the end of "Monsters You Made" speaks volume. A call for revolution against the oppression of the black race.

Waist beads are West African. The materials are found alongside the coastal areas, and every West African ethnic group has their own variation of beads. The meaning of the colors may vary depending on the ethnic group, but it is OUR beauty trademark.

Ivory Coast, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Togo are all interconnected culturally. We share the Akan with Ivory Coast, the Ewes with Togo, and our numerous ethnic groups up north with Burkina Faso. The four of us are all intertwined with each other, despite the language barrier.

Disclaimer: They were being deadass. Sister Deborah and her brother, Wanlov are very vocal about their views on Pro-LGBTQ+ rights in Ghana and Africa as a whole, and they often resort to songs and other forms of activism to put their point across. You gotta love them.

Half of the time, you’ll be rejecting African identity and you’re claiming a WEST African thing. Egypt has invented a lot of things and that’s undeniable, but waist beads are our thing. You may wear them due to proximity to West Africans or for femininity purposes, but it is ours
