- Here is history. I watched two Black Ole Miss students carry the bullet-riddled Emmett Till memorial through campus and place it at the base of a confederate monument on campus. Three white Ole Miss students shot at the Till memorial last year and posed beside it in pictures.

- A new, bulletproof memorial for Emmett Till was erected on the shore of the Tallahatchie River today, after vandals’ repeated attempts to erase his memory here.
- Replying to @_JahanThe message from the students carrying the sign is that both the desecrated sign and the confederate monument belong to the same tradition of racist terrorism, and their righteous act of linking them in this way cannot be undone. Ever. Salute to them.
- Replying to @_JahanHere is the previous memorial. The bullet holes have literally made it painful to carry, as they’ve created sharp metal edges that can—and did—draw blood.
- Serious question: Has @RickSantorum seen images from the slaughter at Stoneman Douglas High? What kind of CPR could have been used to save them? Stop putting this man on television.
- Herschel Walker was meant to be white conservatives’ trophy. A Black caricature, and a cruel example of what they could accomplish in a state they’ve rigged with voter suppression. Shame on them. Congrats to Sen. Warnock. Congrats to all of us.
- Juicy J's career arc is so impressive and we rarely discuss it. Dude changed the sound of Hip Hop and he's remained relevant long enough to get verses on hit songs that SAMPLE HIS OLD WORK. That's so unique.
