- Freelance artists NEED to charge AT LEAST three times minimum wage. 1/3 : because it’s literally minimum wage 2/3 : because art is a specialized skill, and 3/3 : because as a freelancer you’re on the hook for materials, supplies, taxes, hardware, software, sick days, etc etc etc

- Of all the things storyboarding has taught me, my favorite lesson of all is Your art is disposable. If it’s not working, it is irrelevant how much you like it or how long you spent doing it. If you drew it once you can draw it twice, and it will be better the second time.

- Replying to @_GreyWhiteBy undercharging yourself you’re doing three things : 1) undercutting every other freelancer 2) sending the signal to clients that your work is low quality or amateurish and 3) sending up the Bat-Signal for clients who will not respect your time or efforts.
