I've known Tony Fauci for years. He is a consummate professional whose advice has been sought out and respected by Presidents of both parties. These attacks on him are disgusting and say more about those leveling them than about Dr. Fauci.

You do not give a patient -- much less the President of the United States -- a drug that is not yet approved by the FDA (to say nothing of one with "mild symptoms"). Unsurprisingly, the Trump WH is not being forthright to the American people about the health of their President.

I'm an oncologist. We understand we need to be honest with patients, yet we want to maintain some hope. On the other hand, we can't maintain hope on the basis of a lie. They've got to tell us the truth. The doublespeak coming out of the WH medical team is very very concerning.

It is a great honor to serve @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris and help them address this pandemic and get the country moving again.
Dr. @ZekeEmanuel has been named to President Elect @JoeBiden’s #COVID19 task force. We’re thrilled his expertise will be utilized to help the country combat the virus.

I've been in this hospital. The "presidential offices at Walter Reed" are called "hospital rooms."

I've known Tony Fauci for years, as a friend and colleague. The courage and perseverance he has shown to keep fighting for the public health in the face of withering and unhinged attacks is remarkable. He really is "up against more than a virus." Read 👇

I get it. We're exhausted & want COVID to be over, but it's not that simple. 125K Americans a year are still dying. China's likely to see 800M infections this month. We can prevent the worst with masks & air filtration, but Americans have to buy in.

For those 75 years and older: it’s time to retire from public office. Dare I say, I agree with my brother, Ari. We need a mandatory age limit for all federal elected officials and all federal judges. No one should serve past 75. Sure, some people will be capable of serving past

New study in @Health_Affairs: data suggest that the 15 states and DC that mandated mask-wearing in public between 4/8 and 5/15 averted as many as 230,000–450,000 #covid19 cases. Wear your mask. Keep your distance. It's not politics; it's science.

From the months it took them to recommend masking to slow the initial spread of COVID-19 until today, CDC has been consistent about one thing when it comes to masking & COVID -- and that's being wrong. The science is clear: N95 respirators provide better protection than a plain

The problem isn't President Biden's age; it's his ability to function. From Ben Franklin to Warren Buffett and Nancy Pelosi, people have performed extraordinarily into their 80s. Biden has shown he is not one of them. Biden’s cognitive changes do not necessarily indicate

Yes, I'm still wearing an N95 mask at parties and avoiding restaurants. We can't keep ignoring #LongCOVID. We need to do more about it, and soon. @loscharlos said it right. “We’re in the middle of the greatest mass-disabling event in human history."

As school approaches with insufficient guidance from the Trump Admin, parents and teachers deserve a clear assessment of the #covid risks. So @SaskiaPopescu, @DrPhillipsMD and I made a risk index for schools. Below and in @nytopinion. Please share widely 1/nytimes.com/2020/07/29/opi…
