I called a new mum to congratulate her on the arrival of her baby. I asked how the baby was, she said the baby is so quiet and has been sleeping. He slept for 8 hours and they were glad he was such a gentle child. I screamed! That child was obviously hypoglycaemic.

How to help a choking infant! An infant has just choked on a tiny item (even after you had tried to keep it out of their reach), here is what to do. A thread!

I am singing a lullaby so my toddler can sleep. The said toddler is drumming to the lullaby. It's gonna be a long night.

A newborn should feed every 2 to 3hours in the first few weeks of life. If your baby is oversleeping, please wake the child and feed. Don't let anyone convince you that your child is gentle o; a newborn should not be 'gentle' enough to sleep through meal times o

A newborn should be fed within 30minutes- 1 hour of birth. Not doing this may lead to hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) which may cause irreversible damage to the developing brain. Please insist that your baby be fed at the hospital shortly after delivery, to avoid stories.

Over 8 hours after birth and the lil one had not been fed because the mother is not lactating... I am a baby friendly doctor, but I value the baby's brain and future more than 1 or 2 days of formula feeds. I was frantic but everyone thought I was crazy; 'what is the big deal?'

2 children almost died yesterday again! They drank Kerosine and their neighbours thought to help by force feeding them Palmoil! They came in to the emergency gasping! One of them is still unconscious. We have said it, I have personally said it over and Over again!

I used to shake my head at women who bring their family matters to social media. I can't believe a time will come in my marriage when I also will come to Twitter to call out my husband. But i am pained and hurt. I need you guys! So this girl is trying to snatch my man!

So, from this tweet I have seen several hot takes and a lot of twisting of intentions. I really don't think the main lesson for this tweet is to tell women to wake up 4.50Am to cook; na una LAGOS people get that wahala. What I see here is a woman identifying a possible problem

I've always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready. But the day he told me a colleague brought two spoons so he'll eat with her, was the day I set my alarm for 4:50am.

Story Story! A Newborn was brought to the NICU 4 days after birth because he developed a high temperature. I asked if that was the only symptom, they said it was. "The baby is very playful and active, he even has a few tricks up his sleeves" the father said.

Sequel to my post about palm oil and its dangers when used as an antidote in children, I recieved many replies and most wanted to know what to do in case of poisoning, before getting to the hospital. This thread will address some common poisons and what first aid care to give.

Another infant dies of low blood glucose! Mother was feeding a newborn 3 times a day! I have said it before, a baby should not be 'gentle'. Your baby shouldn't sleep for long hours! A newborn SHOULD BE FED EVERY 2 TO 3 HOURS! I get very pissed when people die preventable deaths!
