    And one of the best ways to become this is to minimize the effect of outside influences. Spend time alone. Turn off notifications. Delete apps that make you feel bad about yourself. Explore your curiosities. Share what excites you with those who honor you. Build from there.

    Your parents did the best they knew how. Now, it's up to you to fill in the gaps, heal the hurt, and learn the lessons they weren't able to teach. Nobody is coming to reparent you. You have to be the parent for yourself you wish you always had.
