My favorite part about last night's race was there was an airborne wreck where the car didn't go fully over, & the broadcasters proceeded to spend 10 minutes praising nascar for it's quick action in aero updates, only to have the most spectacular crash of the year to happen after
Younger NASCAR fans, grab a chair real quick. I know older fans will constantly look at nascar with rose colored glasses (trust me, I am no better or worse for reminiscing about 2001-2007), but trust me when I tell you the current nascar is in deep shambles.
June 17, 2006: David Gilliland pulled off one of the biggest NASCAR upset wins of the last 25 years when he won the Busch Series race at Kentucky
His Clay Andrews Racing team was unsponsored, built their own motors, part-time, never finished above 29th in their 1st 5 starts
Considering these "big" teams certainly do have the resources to do it, I enjoy it when they take the effort to fully wrap the backup at the track, instead of slapping half wraps on (staring at you Hendrick)
Not so hot take, but by manufacturing every championship to be a game 7 moment, NASCAR has not had a classic title race like the 2011 Ford 400, 1992 Hooters 500, or 1980 LA Times 500.
The point isn’t to crown the best driver… It’s to crown the best team who executed the best when the pressure was at its highest and the lights were the brightest.
Someone just brought to my attention that I was the reason Black Flags Matter stopped making videos lol
Maybe don't read someone else's expose word for word and you won't get called out for plagarism
