BBC did a 12-hour mini-series in the 70's on the decline and fall of the Austrian, German, and Russian empires from the revolutions of 1848 to the end of WWI and you can watch it all on YT. Just found out about this and for those of you that didn't know about it, your welcome.

Just had a realization that the decline of eugenics (at least in its 19th/early 20th century form) is directly tied to the decline of bourgeois thought/life. This is the triumph of mass consumption/mass democracy.

IWW is one of the few far left orgs that has had distinct continuity for over a century. Even in 1910's, they were always considered resentful weirdos, lumpenproles, and pseudo-intellectuals that preyed on clueless foreigners and the laziest American workers. Just born losers.
