I feel sorry for Texans that their tax dollars are being wasted on such a genuinely embarrassing lawsuit. Texas is as likely to change the outcome of the Ice Bowl as it is to overturn the will of Wisconsin voters in the 2020 presidential election.

    Replying to @WisDOJ
As we are in various other meritless cases challenging the results of the election, the Wisconsin Department of Justice will defend against this attack on our democracy.

It’s difficult to believe what we’re seeing take place at the U.S. Capitol: a fascist riot incited by a lame-duck President desperately and illegitimately trying to cling to power based on absurd lies about the election that amount to voter fraud McCarthyism.

Those responsible must be held accountable for what appears to be a seditious conspiracy under federal law.

Once Congress has fulfilled its duty of certifying the results of the presidential election, it should immediately begin proceedings to remove the President from office. Every day he remains in office is a threat to the republic.

We are reaffirming the Wisconsin DOJ's commitment to protect the rights of all Wisconsinites. If the new administration infringes upon the freedoms of Wisconsinites or attempts to use our system of justice as a tool for vengeance, we will act.

This decision is a travesty for democracy in Wisconsin. The court, applying a new standard in a case it never should have taken, has made one of the most extreme gerrymanders in America even worse.

Justice Protasiewicz’s opinion demolishes the legislature’s hollow arguments for recusal in the redistricting cases. I encourage everyone who is interested in this issue to read her decision.

What America witnessed happening to George Floyd in Minneapolis was not, in any true sense of the phrase, law enforcement. It was torture and murder, under color of law. Justice demands that those involved in this depraved crime be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

With the recount of the presidential election complete, there remains no question that, as usual, Wisconsin's general election was conducted professionally & securely. There’s no basis at all for any assertion that there was widespread fraud that would have affected the results.

Today, on the day of the special session called by @GovEvers, I am calling on the legislature to repeal Wisconsin's 19th century law that bans abortion in nearly all cases. 1/5

Conversion therapy should have no place in Wisconsin or anywhere else.

The State of Wisconsin will no longer be using tax dollars to support this lawsuit, which is contrary to interests of Wisconsinites.
If the challenge to the ACA is successful: 🔘People with pre-existing conditions will lose critical protections 🔘Health-insurance coverage will be imperiled for millions 🔘Health-insurance market will be destabilized 🔘Efforts to fight the opioid epidemic will be undermined.

Today, Attorney General Kaul announces charge against Chesebro, Roman, and Troupis in connection with alleged unappointed electors conspiracy. Tap for insights: doj.state.wi.us/news-releases/…
“The criminal complaint in this case alleges that the defendants were part of a conspiracy to present a certificate of purported electoral votes from individuals who were not Wisconsin’s duly appointed electors,” said Attorney General Kaul. “The Wisconsin Department of Justice is committed to protecting the integrity of our electoral process.”
