- Lamar Baseball: 1) Second most wins in the country 2) swept the Big 12 Champions on the road 3) Played Alcorn State last Tuesday because the selection committee told us not to cancel the game even though it dropped us 7 spots in the RPI Our kids deserve to be in a regional!
- I want to thank everyone for the support of our program over the last few days. We are truly saddened by the NCAA selection committee’s decision to leave us out of the field, and feel awful for our players. We remain proud of our historic season even though it ended too soon.
- Switching to #44 this year to honor my Dad who is battling Dementia. Pretty special moment sharing it with him yesterday.

- We laid Dad to rest today. The amount of messages received were overwhelming. I tried to respond to as many as possible but wanted to say thank you to everyone. To know your father made such an impact on so many lives is an indescribable feeling amidst the feeling of loss.
- Thank you to everyone for reaching out. Two players had to be rescued and our locker room took 14 inches of water. Indoor is also flooded but we are all safe! Praying for Everyone in SE Texas who wasn’t as fortunate 🙏

- Pretty special when an 11-year big leaguer is taking groundballs at 8:45am in dense fog, two weeks before spring training. Pretty easy to see why Jay Bruce is a stud!
