    A day after a NYS Trooper was shot & nearly killed, a judge reduced bail from $100K to $5K for a person arrested in the incident. This is a slap in the face to all police officers. NY’s pro-criminal justice system is out of hand. We stand with @ThePBA.

    The bill to delay the special election for the 21st Congressional District is no longer moving forward. It was a terrible piece of legislation in policy & principle. Thanks to strong pushback from Republican legislators & North Country residents, the bill has been halted.

    There’s absolutely no reason to rewrite the law & intentionally delay a special election in NY21. It didn’t happen in 2024 for specials in NY3 or NY26 (both Dem seats). If a bill like this comes to the floor, it’s a blatant attempt to rig the system.

    Since the HALT Act was implemented in mid-2022: Inmate assaults are up 169% Staff assaults are up 76% Incidents of illegal contraband are up 32% Repealing it should be the first step toward improving the state prison system & addressing disastrous situation unfolding currently

    Only hours away from a reopening their economies, upstate regions are now back in limbo. Rules change. No information given. While livelihoods hang in the balance. The days of New York's one-person rule need to end right now.
    Local leaders thought Phase 2 would begin Friday. Andrew Cuomo said otherwise
