    Update: WiCyS Statement on Nashville, TN Announcement for 2024 Conference
    Our Equity Advocacy Committee, Executive Committee and Board of Directors have held a series of meetings to address concerns about the location of the WiCyS’ 2024 conference following Tennessee’s passage of laws targeting women and the LGBTQIA+ community. All potential options continue to be on the table as we are working with event planners and venues to reach a viable solution. We thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this complicated situation. We will continue to provide updates as we talk and engage all our stakeholders.

    Todays #WomenInCyberSecurity history is Hedy Lamarr. In 1941, Hedy filed a patent for a system of secret communication and was granted said patent. The system allowed for frequency hopping where various frequencies were moved about instead of having the same continuous connection
