Both drivers admitted to their involvement in escalating the road rage situation. After investigating, we issued both drivers a summons for disorderly conduct.

Thanks to help from our partners at @LakewoodPDCO, their Drones as First Responder (DFR) program was able to locate one of the suspect vehicles at the Colorado Mills Mall, where Wheat Ridge officers were able to contact the other driver.

I-70 is dangerous enough without people stopping in the middle of the highway and getting out of their cars. Don’t do that. One driver remained in the area to report the incident to police.

We connect victims with our partners at Victim Outreach Incorporated, and advocates are by their side every step of the way. We also have tremendous resources at The Family Tree and PorchLight Family Justice Center that provide services for these victims.

We are seeing an uptick of sex assaults so far this year. Our department is committed to helping victims get the resources and tools they need to overcome these challenging and traumatic cases that can be domestic in nature.
