And today’s story of the day… Brilliant scenes down in Carnforth today as Richard Downham played 50 minutes for @kirkbylonsfc Reserves vs @CarnforthRanger A at the grand age of 68. Sixty-eight. Absolutely wonderful - grassroots footy at its finest. Fair play, Richard. 👏👏

COST OF LIVING As we approach the season end, we are conscious of the difficult situation most individuals & clubs are facing regarding the cost of living. That’s why we will be crediting all clubs on their end of season invoice with a £50, per team, cost of living allowance.

Everyone at the Westmorland League is devastated to learn of the tragic news of yesterday’s incident at Kendal Rugby Club. The thoughts of all are with GT7, the families and all friends & loved ones. A minute’s silence will be held before all our games this weekend. ❤️❤️

The game was postponed on player safety grounds & due to large parts not being marked out. It was not postponed simply because it was hard. Several areas of the pitch had large craters in. The match referee made an honest call based on their judgement of potential safety issues

Tonight’s match vs @KirkoswaldFC has had to be postponed to due the opinion of the referee being that it is unplayable due to being too hard. Completely out of our hands. Sorry to all involved and all that came to watch such a huge game! We go again!
