Mobility scooters are powered by lithium-ion batteries which can pose a fire risk.
They should not be stored or charged in hallways where they could block your escape in an emergency.
Do you care for someone who uses oxygen therapy or medical equipment?
Oxygen fires are rare but can be intense. Don't store cannisters by exits, under stairs, or near heat sources.

This Carers Week we're sharing simple ways carers can help us keep vulnerable people in our communities safe from fire.
