First synopsis for #Superman! “James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a SUPERMAN who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.” (Press - I think the problem here is that you’re assuming that Dc Studios is attempting to replicate the MCU when in actuality they’re taking a much different approach to establishing their universe. There structure isn’t “big movie, big movie, big movie, unknown character movie”
No one asked but I dunno if the DCU should be leading with Clayface and Supergirl as their next two movies though. - I can’t believe we’re getting a movie where Superman has a personality and isn’t just extremely stoic the whole time

- Thank you, James Gunn, for not using Starman. Teddybears Punkrocker will be as synonymous with Superman now as 'Something in the Way' was for Batman.
- The Boys made fun of lighthearted superheroes by making them corporate sellouts that people worship and now James Gunn is making fun of corporate superheroes by showing how people actually prefer the more light hearted ones. Let him cook I say.
