>Dev adds marriage & children to his game.
>LGBTQ folks respectfully ask for possible same sex marriage.
>Dev blows a gasket and bans them.
>LGBTQ folks leave a few reviews.
>Dev goes full mask off with his hate.
Hate to see it, but also good riddance.
Just a casual reminder that D&D isn't the only viable Tabletop RPG on the market.
In fact, I'd argue that there are tons of better ones that will fit your preferences way better than D&D!
To help you find one worth trying, I've made a easy 🧵for you!
I'm seeing an amount of pushback saying that Artur should be allowed to make the game they want to make, and while I would normally agree: he should have just taken the ~4 bad reviews on the chin and moved on, rather than trying to deride them (and LGBTQ folks) in public.
I no longer care about context if that's a person's reaction. Especially since he went on to claim a harassment campaign but has only showed polite responses and negative reviews.
I literally don't have the context.
Seeing as this post has become a runaway train, I'm gonna share some games with legitimately great romance options and/or representation.
Starting with Haven: store.steampowered.com/app/983970/Hav…
They actually updated the game with gender options after launch, just to be inclusive.
Wow, this sucks.
JoCat was a huge inspiration for me to start trying to break out of my niche/return to making TTRPG videos next year, and to see him possibly sign off for good is disheartening.
store.steampowered.com/app/674930/Boy… - lets you romance any of the human characters, but also has non-romantic options and a cat for people who aren't interested in smooching their swords.
You do realize Nazis & Communists hunted down and killed gay people... right?
The persecution you and your family faced are real, I don't want to discount that, but don't use that pain to justify discriminating against people who face the exact same persecution.
If it was instigated by hate, why is he not showing any of it? And why is he responding with his own hate?
His current spin makes him look incredibly petty at bare minimum, but to me he just comes as a LGBTQ-phobe that wanted a reason to publicly hate on them.
store.steampowered.com/app/1677310/In… - has a really cute LGBTQ romance subplot that I really enjoyed.
To be honest, it's the primary reason why I finished ISAT because getting stuck in a time loop actually sucks, but I wanted to see the two get together in the end so I stuck with it.
