    Incredible bravery by this CA fire crew, who sheltered in place while a raging wildfire *burned over them.* 💪🏽🔥🇺🇸These men are incarcerated Californians, who will have a better shot at working as firefighters when they are released thanks to #AB2147.

    BRAVERY - I had the honor of meeting with the crew members of SugarPine Crew 6 and two of their @CAL_FIRE Fire Captains. Their bus burned, then the house they sheltered in burned. They survived by following their training, their orders and using their fire shelters. #NorthComplex

    What a difference a year makes. 9/20, US President: "Science doesn't know." 9/21: US President: "Scientists have been warning us for years that extreme weather is going to get more extreme... We have to think big." So glad for this @POTUS as we combat the climate crisis. 🙏🏽

    Breaking 🗞: The CA Coastal Commission (aka @TheCACoast) just approved the Doheny Ocean Desalination Project in Dana Point. It will provide up to 5 million gallons of drinking water to local communities each day & improve SoCal drought resilience. My statement below. 🧵1/2

    Beyond thankful to @CAL_FIRE and partner fire agencies for their *heroic* work in last 24 hrs to protect homes and businesses in the Tahoe basin. 🧑🏽‍🚒👼🏻Thanks to them, minimal structure loss reported to date in and around South Lake Tahoe. The firefight continues at #CaldorFire.
