- Western Oklahoma State College 6’7” PF Damien Sears has been offered by Mississippi Valley State.

- Western PF Damien Sears commits to St. John’s (Big East).
- Western Oklahoma SF, Obi Okafor, makes it official and verbals to Drury University. The two year player averaged 13.3 ppg this year and 6.6 rpg while shooting 53.6% from the field. Okafor has also earned NJCAA 2nd team Academic All American last year and sports a 3.87 gpa.
- Western men sign PG Darvin Petties from Northeast Academy. Petties averaged 16 ppg and 7.6 apg this past season and led Northeast Academy to a Regional title. The future Pioneer totaled 174 pts during playoff run and earned first team all conference.
- Long drought over for Western men. Not since former Sam Houston and UNC Wilmington head coach Robert McPherson (1977-1980) led the Pioneers has a Western team returned to the Region finals . Western men take on Seminole State today for the Region 2 crown.

- Western Oklahoma State 6’8 PF Webster Simeus signs with Cameron University of the Lone Star conference. Simeus is a two year player for the Pioneers and hails from North Miami, Florida. Westerns leader in blocked shots 18/19 played for Ray Benoit at North Miami High School.
