- Today my position of sports reporter at The Post-Star was eliminated by corporate. No hard feelings, it's a reality of our industry. Many thank-yous to the players, coaches and fans who talked to me and whose stories I could share. I hope we meet again.
- I have professional news to share. I have accepted a job as a sports reporter with @dgazette / @dgazettesports. I begin March 1, and to say I’m psyched doesn’t do my emotions justice. Also, my new Twitter handle is @WLSpringstead, and I hope old & new folks will follow.
- FINAL: Canton 87, Glens Falls 63. The No. 1 Class B team in the state has lost.
- As a writer, I could try to explain what Marylou Whitney meant to so many people and institutions, Saratoga Race Course especially. But some people leave writers without words, singers without notes, poets without meter. But when they think of them, they smile. RIP.

- Fort Ann baseball coach Dane Clark has decided to retire from his position. Going out on top. Congrats, Dane, on a marvelous career.
- Glens Falls senior swimmer Mia Cote signs her letter of intent to attend St. Bonaventure next season.
- Glens Falls' @JG3_____ has become Section II's all-time leading scorer for boys basketball. He scored his 2,683rd point on a free throw near the start of the 4th quarter.
