    A year ago, the number of untested sexual assault kits in Texas, and especially in Dallas, was rather staggering. The Dallas Police Department's backlogged kits reached into the thousands. Now, all of them have been sent for testing. dallasobserver.com/news/rape-kit-…

    Murder does not have a 10 year mandatory minimum jail sentence. Rape does not have a 10 year mandatory minimum jail sentence. However, if you give a ride to your undocumented prima, you can face 10 years MANDATORY MINIMUM jail sentence under extreme legislation like SB 4. #txlege

    After a long, hard-fought battle, & our numerous attempts to kill it, Republicans passed SB17 to eliminate diversity, equity, & inclusion at all public TX colleges and universities. This is rolling us back to a time when not even water fountains were equally accessible. #txlege
