    Today was my last day in Parliament. I thank Batswana for the opportunity to serve. Over forty years ago you gave an unknown girl from Serowe a chance to become someone. A chance to challenge the odds. May God enable us to continue to be that country. I love you Botswana.

    Before we lose another Setswana word, it is not MmaagoNnana, for the umpteenth time it is MMAAGWE Nnana. A re Mmogo.??? If you are speaking to Nnana, then it is Nnana, Mmago o kae? Mmago- your mother. MMAAGWE -denotes someone else’s mother. Mmaago does not exist in Setswana.

    The insults on Facebook thrown at both our Former and Current Presidents are totally alien to our culture. In Setswana we may differ in opinion and disagree very strongly but insults are never freely used especially when they are made by the youth against our leaders. Re ya kae??

    Brigades should be a choice for people who want to choose a path in skills development and should NEVER be viewed as the place for failed academics. Please remove the stigma on manual work. In the end, It is our hands that feed us.

    If this makes me unpopular, I apologize to my friends in advance. Future lockdowns should be with immediate effect to stop people from fleeing the infected zone and migrating with the virus to clean zones. What happened yesterday is unforgivable.
