    I want to make it very clear that Derek Mason will be our head football coach moving forward. Coach Mason has my full support and I am committed to working with him to ensure our football program has the necessary resources and support to succeed.

    Regardless of what happens during this game, I am proud of @SarahFuller_27. When the staff told me she wanted to do this, I didn't think about history being made. I simply thought about how amazing it is to see these student-athletes step up for one another.  #AnchorDown

    As someone who can personally appreciate the value of Vanderbilt's unique student-athlete experience, I can say that we are building on a legacy of excellence and achievement -- in athletics and academics. I am excited to work with our coaches, staff and student-athletes.

    I am deeply troubled that some of our student-athlete parents were subjected to racist slurs during last night's game. This is absolutely unacceptable and disgraceful behavior, and such hateful language has no place anywhere in our society.

    I am proud to be a Commodore and I salute the @VandyBoys and @TimCorbin for their heart and effort. We all started the year hoping to be the last team standing, but what a thrilling run both to, and in, Omaha. We will be back.
