- We lost the big man this week. Mike Updike was a husband, father, grandfather, soldier, dreamer, builder and maker, knuckleballer, animal lover, one hell of a bird dog scout, Coors enthusiast and friend to many. You will be greatly missed. Love you Dad

- Played catch with the boy today. No plan, video, time restrictions, weighted balls, belts, bands or sensors. Just good old fashioned sling the rock and make the other dudes hand hurt. It was fun, we smiled, laughed and walked away thankful for the day and our sore hands.
- Tonight I watched the boy pitch on a field I have played, coached and scouted at over the past 35 years. Missing my friend Coach David Lee talking baseball, guitars and life at that old yard. The boy K’d 8 over 3inn and they played DL’s playlist between innings. Cool ⚾️ night!

00:00 - Dad's last day of chemo, its been a long spring but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thankful for having him out on the road with me at games when he felt up to it. Glad he got to be a part of what I do, wouldn't trade that time for anything.
- College baseball in the State of Florida is going to be very, very competitive at all levels in 2021. Best get to work kiddo’s if you want to stand on the grass instead of shout from the dugout 😉
