    UTEP's Mining Minds sculpture will be illuminated in blue and orange in honor of UTEP President Emerita Diana Natalicio, who died Friday, Sept. 24. The lighting will continue for 31 days to represent her years of leadership at the University.

    Sun Bowl Stadium was completed in 1963 and the Miners hosted their first home football game there on Sept. 21 against the North Texas State Eagles. Larry Durham scored the first touchdown when he ran 54 yards; the Miners won 34-7. #TBT

    We will be refunding or crediting fees that students aren't benefiting from -- housing is the biggest one. We have to do this in a way that doesn't affect their financial aid eligibility. Working that out with the Federal Department of Education, but we want to move quickly.
