Recently, I visited @MCRD_SD’s #DrillInstructor School and the Basic #Recruiting and Retention School. The schools provide training that prepares #Marines for two of the most influential roles in the Marine Corps. Together, they build the force that will win our nation’s battles.

Yesterday, I was privileged to speak at a #MemorialDay ceremony in Buckeye, Arizona, honoring our fallen. I also had the opportunity to meet with on-duty #FirstResponders, including #veterans, and it was a reminder that service continues long after the uniform comes off.

I visited the Defense Information School, where #Marines are trained in #PublicAffairs and visual #information. I had the opportunity to speak with both the students learning the craft and the instructors shaping them, and I’m grateful for the chance I had to engage with both!
