It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Community Service Officer Kevin Kennard. CSO Kennard began his career at USC in 2007 and served the USC Campus Community for over 15 years in a variety of assignments on both the University Park and Health Sciences Campuses
We are happy to announce that our Department Crime Analyst, Wyman Thomas, has completed his Master of Science in Criminal Justice at USC’s Bovard College. Congratulations Wyman and thank you for 40 years of dedicated service at DPS! 🎓🎉🎊
DPS and LAPD both have increased patrols in the Figueroa Corridor, where a transient stabbed a student on Feb. 18. If you see any suspcious activity at or near UPC, call DPS at 213-740-4321 or LAPD at 911.

Due to a massive storage yard fire below the 10 freeway on Saturday (11/11/23) that caused damage to the supporting structure, the 10 freeway will be FULLY CLOSED until further notice between the East LA Connector and Alameda Street (see map in fourth (4th) slide).
