- We announce the passing of 4 brave warriors who perished last week while conducting routine flight training. Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Cully, 35 Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Kraus, 39 Sgt. Donavon Scott, 25 U.S. Army Sgt. Jadalyn Good, 23 We will never forget.
- Today we recognize Sgt. 1st Class Eugene Ashley, Jr., the first African-American Special Forces Soldier to receive the nation’s highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor. Ashely assisted in the rescue of SF Soldiers trapped at Camp Lang Vei during the Tet Offensive, FEB 1968.
00:00- SSG Melvin Morris, the third of three African-American Special Operations Soldiers to receive the Medal of Honor, was the Commander of a Strike Force from D Co., 5th SFG, Chi Lang, Republic of Vietnam, when companies affiliated with his unit engaged the enemy, 17 September 1969.
