Having done a thorough check on all security agencies, it has been established that a one Mwesigwa Eric was not in the hands of any security agency. We advise him to go to the UHRC and report or the police so that we can commence intensive investigation.

UPDF troops in final touches to deploy in the DRC under the East African Community Regional Force. The force is currently undergoing final mentoring before they are inserted into Eastern DRC to join their Kenyan counterparts already in Goma.

UPDF would like to clarify that the late Senteza Frank a @NUP_Ug candidate close protection person was not knocked by a Military Police Vehicle as purported, but rather fell off a speeding Car Reg No UBF 850z (Drone) he tried to jump to but fell off.

Estimated 20-30 ADF fighters last night crossed River Semuliki into Kyanja in Ntoroko district. Our intelligence got wind of them and they were intercepted. A fight is on to decisively deal with the group. 11 of them have been put out of Action. More details will be availed.

Today, 26th Nov 2022, one of the assailants that carried out the attack on Sentry along Ambercourt road in Gaddafi Barracks where one soldier was killed and two SMG rifles stolen has been put out of action and two stolen guns recovered.

UPDF regrets that some journalists were injured as security carried out its duties. We maintain and will always respect our relationship with the media fraternity. UPDF further advises journalists on duty to always wear easily indentifiable press jackets.
