- When the earthquake forced Sarangani Provincial Hospital in Alabel to evacuate its maternal and neonatal care outdoors, UNFPA, with support from the Australian Government, rapidly deployed an Emergency #MaternityTent Facility (EMTF) to support the government-led response.
One week in, the EMTF is serving as a critical lifeline—providing mothers with a safe place to give birth and ensuring they receive clean, safe, and dignified care when they need it most.
